We wanted to provide a brief update regarding the ongoing litigation involving Flowers Title Companies, LLC and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crime Enforcement Network.
On May 11, 2026, the defendants (U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) filed a Notice of Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. This filing follows the March 19, 2026 district court decision that granted summary judgment in favor of Flowers Title Companies.
A Notice of Appeal is a procedural step that initiates the appellate process and does not change the current status of the lower court’s ruling. The matter will now proceed through the federal appeals process, which will include briefs and potential oral arguments before the appellate court.
